What is MyJobTracker?

MyJobTracker is a comprehensive job application tracking platform that helps you organize, manage, and optimize your job search. It includes features like application tracking, interview scheduling, analytics insights, and AI-powered interview preparation.

How do I get started with MyJobTracker?

Getting started is easy! Simply sign up for a free account using your email or Google account. Once logged in, you can immediately start adding job applications, scheduling interviews, and tracking your progress through our intuitive dashboard.

Is MyJobTracker free to use?

Yes! MyJobTracker offers a generous free tier that includes tracking up to 50 active applications, basic analytics, and interview question generation. We also offer premium plans for power users who need unlimited tracking and advanced features.

Can I import my existing job applications?

Currently, you can manually add your existing applications to MyJobTracker. We're working on import features for popular job boards and spreadsheets. Each application can be added with full details including company, position, status, and notes.

How does the Kanban board work?

Our Kanban board provides a visual way to track your applications through different stages. You can drag and drop applications between columns like Applied, Screening, Interview, Offer, and more. Each card shows key details and can be clicked for full information.

Can I customize the application statuses?

The standard statuses cover most job search scenarios: Wishlist, Applied, Screening, Phone Interview, Technical Interview, On-site Interview, Offer, Rejected, Withdrawn, and Accepted. Currently, these are fixed, but custom statuses are on our roadmap.

How does the interview question generator work?

Our AI-powered interview question generator creates role-specific questions based on the company and position. It generates behavioral questions, technical questions, and company-specific questions to help you prepare thoroughly for your interviews.

Calendar & Scheduling

Can I sync with Google Calendar?

Google Calendar integration is coming soon! Currently, you can manually add interview appointments to MyJobTracker's built-in calendar. Once the integration is live, interviews will automatically sync with your Google Calendar.

How do I schedule an interview?

You can schedule interviews in two ways: 1) Click the calendar icon on any application card, or 2) Use the Calendar view to click on a date/time. Fill in the interview details including type, location, and any preparation notes.

Will I get interview reminders?

Yes! MyJobTracker sends email reminders for upcoming interviews. You can set reminder timing when scheduling the interview. Push notifications are planned for our upcoming mobile app.

Can I view all my interviews in one place?

Absolutely! The Calendar view shows all your scheduled interviews in month, week, day, or list view. You can also see upcoming interviews on your dashboard for quick access.

Data & Privacy

Is my data secure?

Yes, your data security is our top priority. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest. Your data is stored securely on Supabase's infrastructure with regular backups. We never share your personal information with third parties.

Can I export my data?

Data export functionality is coming soon! You'll be able to export your applications, analytics, and other data in CSV format for use in spreadsheets or other tools. We believe in data portability and your right to own your information.

What happens to my data if I delete my account?

If you delete your account, all your data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days. This includes all applications, interviews, documents, and personal information. We recommend exporting your data before account deletion.

Do you use my data for AI training?

No, we do not use your personal job search data to train AI models. The interview question generator uses pre-trained models and doesn't learn from your specific applications or responses. Your privacy is paramount.

What's included in the free plan?

The free plan includes: tracking up to 50 active applications, basic analytics dashboard, interview question generator (5/day), calendar functionality, email reminders, and mobile access. Perfect for most job seekers!

What are the benefits of upgrading to Pro?

Pro plan ($9/month) includes: unlimited application tracking, advanced analytics with insights, unlimited AI features, priority support, API access, and upcoming features like resume parsing and LinkedIn integration.

Can I cancel my subscription anytime?

Yes! You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. You'll continue to have access to Pro features until the end of your billing period. No questions asked, no cancellation fees.

Do you offer student discounts?

Yes! We offer a 50% discount for students with a valid .edu email address. We believe in making job search tools accessible to everyone, especially those just starting their careers.

Technical Support

What browsers are supported?

MyJobTracker works best on modern browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. We recommend using the latest version for the best experience. The platform is fully responsive and works on mobile browsers too.

Is there a mobile app?

A native mobile app is in development! Currently, MyJobTracker is fully mobile-responsive and works great on any smartphone or tablet through your web browser. You can add it to your home screen for app-like access.

I found a bug. How do I report it?

We appreciate bug reports! Please use the Contact form and select "Bug Report" as the inquiry type. Include details about what happened, what you expected, and steps to reproduce the issue. Screenshots are helpful too!

How quickly do you respond to support requests?

We aim to respond to all support requests within 24-48 hours during business days. Bug reports and urgent issues are prioritized. Pro users receive priority support with faster response times.

How many applications should I track?

Quality over quantity! We recommend focusing on 10-20 well-researched applications at a time rather than mass applying. MyJobTracker helps you stay organized and follow up appropriately with each opportunity.

What's the best way to organize my applications?

Use the Kanban board to visualize your pipeline. Add detailed notes for each application, set reminders for follow-ups, and use tags to categorize by industry, role type, or priority. Regular updates keep your data actionable.

How can analytics help my job search?

Our analytics show your application response rate, time in each stage, and success patterns. Use these insights to identify which application sources work best, optimal follow-up timing, and where you might be getting stuck in the process.

Should I track rejected applications?

Yes! Tracking rejections helps you learn and improve. Note any feedback received, identify patterns, and use this data to refine your approach. Our analytics can help spot trends in rejections to guide your strategy.
